Full Description:

The Sr. Scalable Services Engineer will require someone that thinks in terms of high-scale cloud computing patterns and microservices, builds new web services/controllers in C# or Java faster than other developers believe is possible, naturally automates mundane tasks, and loves the challenge of identifying and fixing performance and scalability problems. To be successful you need to have a true passion for shipping new software rapidly and delivering uptime for a high-end Enterprise Video Platform Company. We really want someone who has experience with customer facing product development projects and can easily articulate how low level systems facilitate end-user experience.

 

Requirements:

?Develop, architect and construct cheap, scalable and reliable cloud-based services products.

?Build system software architecture of large distributed systems.

?Architect system to optimize global scale, elasticity, scalability, automation and high availability.

?Manage and deploy scalable services and execute search indexing tasks.

?Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including contributing to the technology roadmaps, design, planning, execution, QA, and deployment of highly scalable solutions while interfacing with end users and customers optimizing user experience.

 

Required Experience/Skills:

?7+ years professional coding experience, preferably with a focus on server/service side Java or C# development

?A willingness to take on, drive, own and maintain a variety of large and small features and services

?Experience developing and managing enterprise scale cloud services

?History with and passion for building production-grade dynamically scalable services which can operate under massive sudden loads

?Strong knowledge of system software architecture of large distributed systems

?A solid footing in computer science, including thorough knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object oriented software design and service based architecture

?Direct knowledge on deployment automation frameworks (such as chef)

 

Plus:

?Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Apps

?SQL Expertise -- both writing ad-hocs queries and developing in the data layer

?Experience running both Windows and Linux systems in production

 

Education:

?Must have Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and must understand CSCI principles, concepts, methodologies, algorithms, data structures, oriented software design and service based architecture

?Master’s Degree is a plus
