Sr. DevOps Engineer
About The Role
You will be reporting to the VP of Engineering, and manage a small group of senior software engineers. We are looking for someone with excellent technical and people skills who will spend 80% of the time on highly technical work, and 20% in people management, leadership and change management.
As a Lead DevOps Software Engineer, you have the opportunity to help to build our platform. Our platform team develops and automates solutions that provide service discovery, load balancing, monitoring, logging, scheduling, etc. The goal is to support our site reliability and continuous delivery objectives.
Manage a small group of talented senior software engineers.
Lead and collaborate with a team of engineers with diverse skill sets to drive solutions.
Architect and implement new components of our service platform.
Automate manual processes to enable other engineering teams to self-service their application delivery needs.
Research and work with cutting-edge technologies that are defining the future of the cloud.
Work with modern technologies such as Docker, HashiCorp products (Terraform, Consul, and Nomad), Cloud Formation, Kubernetes, etc.
Collaborate with other engineers in the organization to foster solid engineering principles and drive improvement.
Help us shape a DevOps culture and foster its adoption.

Can communicate effectively to technical and non-technical people.
7+ years of applicable experience in technical roles, and 3+ years in people management roles.
Experience with technologies such as the AWS stack, Docker, Terraform, Consul, Nomad, Jenkins, etc.
Experience with large-scale production SOA systems and microservice architectures.
Some coding experience.
