Oversees the installation, maintenance, upgrade, and support of cloud systems, operating systems/software. The Cloud DevOps Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the core services of ARM Insight ensuring the smooth and efficient deployment and execution of core services for use by the team and clients. They will be active in both development projects and service support. Cloud DevOps Engineers implement and maintain operating system images for windows, linux and mac, virtual infrastructure standards, tools and other systems that enable core IT services across the company infrastructure.
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
Ensure the availability and adequate performance of all critical systems and network resources
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
Contribute to strategic IT projects & initiatives
Define and implement solutions to improve the security and scalability our corporate network and hosting platform
Expertise in deploying, securing and managing virtual infrastructure and web applications on the AWS and GCP cloud computing platforms
Experience with cloud architecture and design
At least 2 years experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS and/or GCP)
AWS products including EC2, EBS, ELB, IAM, VPCs, Cloudwatch, RedShift, Data Pipeline, Cloudtrail, etc.
GCP products including GCE, GKE, IAM, GCS, VPC, GCLB, BigQuery, Stackdriver, etc.
Experience with infrastructure and application management considerations including backup and DR strategies, data security and encryption, resource monitoring, patch management, high availability, load balancing, etc.
Experience creating automated processes
Experience with database administration and management
Experience in setting up and configuring log aggregation utilities, monitoring network, and system security logs, and assisting infrastructure, development, and security teams identify, analyze, and resolve issues
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes or other container technologies
Experience with Regulatory Compliance (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.) is a huge plus
Must love data.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years’ experience in IT systems administration and IT Service Desk
3+ years’ experience with Windows Active Directory identity and group policy management
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
Able and willing to collaborate as part of a team in various roles.
Respond to emergency situations effectively, maintaining poise and focus.
Willingness to work after hours on project-related work and pre-scheduled on-call support.
