Full Description:

Are you looking for a company that invest in your future and help you grow in your role? Our client will do just that! They are looking for a junior data engineer to sign on for a 6 month contract to hire position. They are located in downtown Portland and have a history of hiring junior candidates that they eventually convert and help excel their growth within a certain skill set. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3+ years software development experience

  • Developing Oracle database objects – stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and leveraging built-in Oracle packages

  • Ability to write SQL queries

  • Able to actively participate in cross-functional teams formed to quickly resolve an issue or deliver a project

  • Ability to learn new technologies and business concepts quickly

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

  • not required but a plus: experience with Unix, Linux, JAVA, XML, and PERL

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Self-starter
