Job Title: Service Desk Technician
The purpose of this position is to provide quality technical service to clients and consultants as needed in the areas of desktop support and basic systems administration. This is an entry-level position and you will be expected to perform a broad range of tasks including answering and triaging client calls, remote and onsite support and systems monitoring from our client in Portland, Oregon.
Provide first level triage of incoming support requests
Accept ownership of tickets and see them to resolution in a timely fashion
Document troubleshooting steps and client interactions in our ticketing system
Monitor cloud based services and triage issues that arise
Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware like motherboards, disk drives, power supplies, network cards, modems, display adapters and memory in various devices
Setup, configure and troubleshoot various devices including printers, smartphones, tablets, scanners, and multifunction devices
Install, configure and troubleshoot one or more of the following operating systems:
Microsoft Operating Systems (Current and past versions)
Macintosh Operating Systems (Current and past versions)
Unix based Operating Systems (Current and past versions)
Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop and mobile applications
Troubleshoot and repair basic networking issues including WAN, LAN, WLAN, cabling and associated protocols
Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory domains on desktop computers including adding users and computers to the domain
Backup and restore from various applications
Office 365 - all suites including TEAMS
Virus containment and removal
Maintenance of hardware and software including installing upgrades, updates, cleaning and reparing
Update documentation as needed
Complete required weekly administrative forms in a timely fashion
MAC experience is a plus
Prior experience in an MSP is a ++
