Data Scientist – Business Analytics

Our Client is seeking a Senior Business Analytics Data Scientist for a fully remote Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire/FTE position.

Responsibilities:

  • Complex data analyses using a variety of tools and techniques in order to answer business questions, analyze emerging trends, connect cause and effect, solve problems and identify opportunities; using SQL or Tableau.
  • Focus on Business Analysis (not Machine Learning).
  • End-to-end analytic services to partners from Product, Marketing, CRM, Business Development, Engineering, Finance and more. (Product and marketing e3mphasis.).

Required Skills:

  • Senior-level experience in business analytics.
  • SQL – expert level skills.
  • Basic scripting skills with Python or R.
  • Large data-sets and Big Data ecosystem experience, preferably AWS, and production systems like Git, Airflow, etc.
  • Ability to design and build complex reports and dashboards.
  • Expert proficiency with at least one visualization tool – Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Chartio.
  • Sound knowledge of statistical analysis, especially hypothesis testing, experiment design, measurement, and optimization, A/B and multivariate testing, and Bayesian testing.
  • Ability to build bread-and-butter data science models, such as linear regression, binary classification, clustering & segmentation, and forecasting.
  • Data engineering processes, ETL, data flows, and analytics automation experience.
  • Ability to build bread-and-butter data science models, such as linear regression, binary classification, clustering & segmentation, and forecasting.

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced Python programming skills.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment.
