Electrical Engineer, 3rd shift – Mt. Holly, NC

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join an international automotive manufacturer.

This EE will work on-site in Mt. Holly on 3rd shift (8:00 PM to 5:30 AM EST) and be responsible for designing engineering drawings, interpreting blueprints, supporting production and problem solving, training skilled trades, and identifying and correcting PLC / Network issues. Additional responsibilities include development, testing, and supervision of the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.

  • 2-4+ years of on-site Electrical Engineering experience, preferably with automotive companies
  • Experience evaluating the cost effectiveness, reliability, and safety of certain design models, estimating time and cost to complete projects, and simulating and testing machine/structure/system operation
  • Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
  • Knowledge of performing details calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications
  • Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field
  • Experience Investigating and testing vendors’ and competitors’ products
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or additional 2-4 years of professional EE experience
  • Ability to work on-site in Mt. Holly, NC on third-shift: 8:00 PM to 5:30 AM EST, and ability to work overtime on Saturdays twice a month (paid time-and-a-half)
