Our Portland, OR client is looking for a technical professional to help migrate high-volume applications that process millions of transactions per day from on-prem Hadoop to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Any coding experience with Java (JVM), Scala or Python experience is nice to have – but this is more of a consulting role vs. heavy hands-on (more architecture)
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience migrating a microservice system from on-prem to Google Cloud
- Experience developing and maintaining software that runs in Google Cloud
- Data pipeline experience — Dataproc, Big Query and Cloud Composer
- Microservice architecture experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Ability to understand trade-offs between Google Cloud products
- CI/CD pipeline experience within Google Cloud
- Understanding of Google Cloud costs is nice to have
