Our Client is seeking a Product Manager for a Contract-to-Hire position in Menlo Park, CA.


Guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds Responsibilities:

  • Market Insights
  • Assess global market needs, opportunities, trends, competitive landscape in partnership with Business teams, Engineering teams, Science teams and Executive leadership.
  • Responsible for defining customer needs/requirements and helping build business cases and new project proposals.
  • Serve as market and customer expert working closely with internal development teams to enable effective translation of voice of customer and voice of field into design inputs.
  • Monitor customer feedback to determine required product improvements.
  • Product Design, Build and Revisions
  • Formulate platform technical/functional value proposition.
  • Extract major use cases and define them in a set of easy to understand and concise features and engineering specs.
  • Follow the best practices of the life science industry while coming up with innovative, unified and intuitive design solutions (including user experience) across the board.
  • Come up with a seamless cloud workflow and user experience considering compatibility with different public and private cloud solutions.
  • Track and make sure that the product is in compliance with the latest applicable regulations and certifications.
  • Develop a scale up strategy to leverage cloud resources in consideration of pricing and other constraints.
  • Product, Project, Program) Management
  • Recommend (re)formulation of effective and meaningful OKRs, persuade and hold the teams responsible without exerting authority
  • Monitor product performance through evaluating key results and measuring KPIs
  • Define, effectively communicate and drive execution of near and long-term product and overall portfolio roadmap & strategy
  • Cross functional alignment
  • Able to drive discussion, alignment or change amongst cross functional stakeholders including senior leadership
  • Serve as product and market expert to help shape corporate and marketing strategy, as well as inform on technology roadmaps

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of demonstrated success within technology or life sciences. Level of experience and expertise will determine seniority and compensation.
  • Understanding of the market, trends, market dynamics, applications, end-to-end workflows and customer needs.
  • Experience performing analyses of customer consideration, purchasing patterns and competitive trends.
  • Experience managing or directing complex projects involving domain expertise.
  • Experience with market research, survey analysis, voice of customer, and other foundational marketing and product management activities.
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to tie detailed analysis to larger strategy and make data driven decisions.
  • Experience managing a cloud product with complex enterprise or analytical flows.
  • Experience gathering, synthesizing, and presenting data to inform and recommend decisions (e.g. business cases, sensitivity analysis, competitive analysis).
  • Experience communicating use cases, product requirements, and UX designs.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive discussion, alignment or change amongst cross functional stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Exceptional time and project management skills, managing complex projects.
  • BS in relevant field (engineering, or science-related profession); advanced degree preferred (PhD, MBA).

Preferred Skills:

  • Specific experience within cloud products and services.
  • Understanding of medical or life science lab workflows.
  • Experience in workflow and use case analysis within life sciences skills.
