Senior Engineer, Embedded Software
Mainz Brady Group is currently looking for a SR. Engineer, Embedded Software (SEES) for a great client located in Irvine, CA. The position is a 12-month contract to hire and is on-site. The Engineer will work closely with Principal Engineers to assist in developing technology roadmaps, requirement documents, technical specifications, validation criteria and mentor engineers to exceed quality, performance, cost, and time as specified for each program. Additionally, the SEES is responsible to support innovation and encourage ideation at every opportunity with the goal of creating innovative new features to exceed customer expectations. The Senior Engineer of Embedded Software will report to the Manager of Embedded Software in the Infotainment and Connected Vehicle Engineering team.
Bachelors of Science in Electrical or Computer engineering (BSEE, BSCmpE, BSCS) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of software development expertise.
Experience developing software in Linux ecosystem.
Experience developing software that directly interfaces with hardware, such as drivers or bare metal.
Experience with real-time software environments.
Proficient knowledge with Product Life Cycle Management Tools.
Proficient with software design and validation methodologies (vehicle level software development).
ADVANTAGE for Consideration
- Experience building software using YOCTO.
- Automotive communication hardware knowledge (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Proficiency understanding hardware schematic.
- Electronic hardware development knowledge
