We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial WordPress Developer with expertise making incredibly robust and responsive community-facing websites for our growing, mission-driven non-profit client based in Portland, OR. This Web Developer will utilize multi-cultural intelligence, intentional listening, appreciation, and respect to engage with a diverse group of constituents, and use strong insights to make recommendations, chart a path forward, and implement plans to build new sites in addition to innovating and maintaining exiting sites:
- Updating websites to support national expansion efforts, developing and implementing responsive, campaign-specific landing pages, and integrating webforms to Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dataverse environment
- Front-end web design/development, back-end maintenance, and support, working closely with Technology, Marketing, and Community Experience leadership to optimize websites and increase usability
- Optimizing websites to improve SEO, load times, and general UX
Requirements:
- 3-4+ years of WordPress development experience and/or 12-15 WordPress sites developed
- Experience taking the lead to implement requested design changes on a website, navigating iterative changes requested from stakeholders, and both managed and maintained websites (experiences with server-side configurations, domain management, hosting, etc.)
- Expertise with WordPress, GoDaddy, WP Engine, PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Experience with Figma, Whimsical, or another wireframe platform to create mockups to share concepts; UX/UI Design
- Portfolio demonstrating successful projects is a bonus
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, or another CRM (Customer Relations Management) platform, and Project Management tools including Asana, SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and an innovative, proactive, passionate personality with a growth mindset
- A detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable leading their own projects working with minimal direction, who will be driven to maximize the organization’s web presence
- Passion for increasing the diversity of leadership in the communities served by the organization
- Ability to work in the North Portland office a couple times per week (flexible schedule)
- Bachelor’s Degree and certification in coding is preferred
