Computer Operator
About the Role:
Mainz Brady Group is seeking a detail-oriented Computer Operator to join our IT operations team in San Diego. This onsite role (5 days a week) involves monitoring IBM mainframes and open systems to ensure smooth, secure daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain IBM mainframe and open systems performance.

Execute and manage scheduled batch jobs.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

Respond to alerts, errors, and outages, escalating as needed.

Perform system backups and maintain data integrity.

Provide technical support and collaborate with IT teams.
Qualifications:

Experience as a Computer Operator or in a similar technical role.

Strong knowledge of systems, batch processing, and networking.

Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment:

100% onsite in San Diego; remote or hybrid work is not available.
