We’re looking for an experienced Knitwear Apparel Designer with a passion for driving forward-thinking textile innovation in women’s performance apparel. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, technology, and storytelling—elevating activewear through engineered knits and seamless design solutions.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and Own:

  • Spearhead the creative and technical direction of knitwear and engineered textiles for performance-driven apparel.

  • Build and lead design initiatives that merge advanced knit technologies with compelling aesthetics and functional excellence.

Focus Areas:

  • Champion both the art and science of knitwear to deliver innovative, future-forward product experiences.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, materials, product management, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to creation.

  • Drive design excellence by merging performance-driven intent with elevated craft and style.

  • Create elevated consumer experiences through superior garment fit, material performance, and technical storytelling.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design women’s performance knitwear with an emphasis on innovation in knit structures, materials, and capabilities.

  • Demonstrate deep expertise in seamless and flat knit construction, understanding how knit engineering impacts fabric behavior and garment performance.

  • Build a strong technical narrative around your designs—clearly articulating how each knit concept enhances product functionality and user experience.

  • Conduct trend and technology research to stay ahead of innovation in knitwear, materials, and sustainability.

  • Utilize digital tools for efficient design execution (Illustrator and CLO preferred).

  • Partner closely with cross-disciplinary teams to support end-to-end product creation and bring concepts to life.


Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in women’s apparel design.

  • Strong background in knitwear design, with knowledge of engineered textiles and performance fabric behavior.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing activewear or tight-to-body garments with a focus on performance and style.

  • Proven ability to tell a compelling design story and communicate technical concepts clearly.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; experience with or willingness to learn CLO 3D.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in seamless product design within activewear or performance categories.

  • Strong understanding of both material development and product construction.

  • A portfolio that showcases tight-to-body performance garments, innovation in knitwear, and modern style sensibility.
