Product Designer / Developer – Apparel
Senior Innovation Technical Developer
As a Senior Innovation Technical Developer, you will apply your expertise in product fit, development, and manufacturing to lead complex apparel innovation projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in ideation and research, strong product construction knowledge, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with creative problem-solving.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn design concepts into 3D products and create 2D patterns as needed. Your work will drive new approaches to performance-based products, offering growth and competitive advantages. Additionally, you will conduct research to explore new technologies, methods, and construction processes, producing proof-of-concept prototypes.
In this role, you will lead innovation projects, collaborating with product creation, manufacturing, and materials teams to meet complex challenges. You will also draft reports and present findings to functional departments while assisting in the transition of technology to product.
Responsibilities:

Create concept ideas from 2D to 4D

Experience in bra patterning and fitting

Grading expertise

Proficiency with 3D CLO software

Collaborate with factories and innovation centers for end-to-end concept development

Lead prototype iteration processes

Facilitate athlete fit sessions and prototype reviews

Oversee product security
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science, or related field

Minimum 6 years’ apparel development experience

Advanced knowledge of the apparel development process, including pattern making, construction, engineering, and materials

Strong collaboration skills

Ability to lead cross-functional teams

Experience working with vendors on manufacturability

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex, CLO, Browzwear)
