Software/DevOps Engineer
Title: Cloud Governance Software Engineer – Contract – Remote (USA)
Summary:
We’re looking for a Cloud Governance Software Engineer to join a forward-thinking team focused on building scalable cloud governance tools across AWS, Azure, GCP, and China-based clouds. This is a contract role, fully remote within the U.S., where you’ll work on automating policies, detecting non-compliance, and enhancing cloud infrastructure security and cost efficiency. If you love solving complex problems in the cloud and writing clean, impactful code—this is your kind of project.
Requirements:

Strong experience with Python or Golang, and automation/scripting for cloud environments

Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

Solid understanding of cloud governance, compliance, and security best practices

Proven ability to build APIs, develop policy-as-code, and automate cloud policy enforcement

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA for backlog and sprint planning

Excellent collaboration and communication skills across tech and non-tech teams

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have:

Exposure to Cloud Custodian or Open Policy Agent (OPA)

Some front-end development experience

Understanding of SAFe or scaled Agile frameworks

AWS certifications and/or knowledge of cybersecurity practices
