Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Azure and VMware to lead the assessment and migration of our existing environment to Microsoft’s Azure VMware Solution (AVS). This role will be responsible for evaluating the current infrastructure, planning the migration strategy, and ensuring a seamless transition to the cloud. A strong networking background and the ability to work remotely are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the current IT environment and define requirements for migration to Azure VMware Solution (AVS).

• Plan and execute the upgrade of on-premises VMware to VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).

• Collaborate with architecture and cloud teams to define scope, deliverables, and required professional services.

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on support throughout the migration process.

• Train and support internal teams to ensure a smooth transition and effective ongoing cloud management.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Azure, with a focus on Azure VMware Solution (AVS).

• Strong knowledge of VMware, including upgrades to VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).

• Solid networking background to support migration and integration activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record in cloud migration projects.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Location

• Preferred onsite/hybrid-remote. Ability to work in the Alaska time zone is a plus for candidates who exceed requirements.
