Senior Network Administrator

We are seeking a Senior Network Administrator to join an on-site Information Technology team in Novato, California. This role operates in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and is responsible for the installation, administration, and ongoing maintenance of 24×7 enterprise-wide systems, including network, server, hardware infrastructure, security, and end-user support.

This position plays a key role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business-critical systems, while also mentoring Tier 1 and Tier 2 support staff. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter who can diagnose and resolve issues efficiently while communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, administer, and maintain enterprise network, server, and infrastructure systems in a 24×7 environment

• Support LAN/WAN environments and deploy application software at both network and workstation levels

• Maintain and support network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN appliances

• Provide hands-on support for Fortinet FortiGate environments (preferred)

• Administer virtualized environments, including Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure and replication technologies

• Support virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve server, application, and integration issues

• Develop, update, and execute disaster recovery plans

• Manage and monitor enterprise backup operations and data replication to DR sites

• Participate in capacity planning aligned with business objectives

• Respond to escalated Help Desk tickets and support issues

• Assist Information Security teams with researching, recommending, and implementing security solutions

• Support data governance and security initiatives, including experience with Microsoft Purview

• Leverage automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell and Python as needed

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of enterprise network administration experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

• Experience working in regulated or high-availability environments preferred

Certifications (Preferred)

• Cisco CCNA

• Fortinet NSE

• Microsoft Azure Cloud certifications

• CompTIA Network+ and Security+, or equivalent experience

• Familiarity with CISSP concepts a plus
