Remote Cloud Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure (Kubernetes)

Overview
Seeking a hands-on technical leader to drive the evolution of a Kubernetes-based compute platform powering cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. This role focuses on scalability, reliability, security, and developer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and lifecycle management of Kubernetes compute platform
  • Drive technical direction and deliver large-scale, cross-team initiatives
  • Improve platform scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Mentor engineers and align teams on priorities, goals, and execution
  • Contribute to long-term cloud platform strategy

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years in infrastructure engineering
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes (must be hands-on, not just operational)
  • Experience writing Kubernetes controllers and admission webhooks
  • Proficiency in Go (Golang) preferred
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure (IaaS)
  • Proven track record leading complex, multi-team projects

Nice to Have

  • Istio / Envoy experience
  • Focus on developer experience, reliability, and platform efficiency
