We’re seeking a reliable PHP/WordPress support engineer to handle day-to-day support tickets and basic development tasks. This role is designed to offload ongoing work from senior engineering leadership, so the ideal candidate can work independently with minimal ramp-up and oversight.


Responsibilities

  • Triage, prioritize, and resolve incoming support tickets

  • Diagnose and fix bugs in PHP applications

  • Perform ongoing WordPress maintenance, including plugin updates, theme changes, and troubleshooting

  • Identify when issues require escalation and communicate clearly with senior engineers

  • Maintain accurate documentation and update workflows as processes evolve


Qualifications

  • Strong, hands-on experience with PHP

  • Working knowledge of WordPress, including setup, plugins, and themes

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently

  • Clear communicator with dependable availability and follow-through


Nice to Have

  • Basic experience with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or MySQL

  • Background in ticket-driven support environments

  • Experience in freelance, contract, or part-time engineering roles
