Data Architect
Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts
Category: IT Infrastructure
Employment Type: Contract
Work Location: Remote
Job ID: 36193
Date Added: 06/08/2026
We are looking for a Data Architect to lead the evolution of Mainz Brady Group’s client data platform and analytics capabilities.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a data professional who thrives at the intersection of architecture and engineering. You will assess the current data environment, evaluate the right tools and data stores for each use case, and design the foundation powering next-generation analytics, customer-facing dashboards, and AI-driven recommendations. You will partner closely with Product and mentor junior data engineers.
This is not a pure strategy role. We’re looking for someone who can produce working solutions — schemas, ETL pipelines, data models, and proof-of-concept implementations — to guide the engineering team forward.
Responsibilities
• Assess and improve the current data environment and architecture
• Design scalable data models and pipelines across BigQuery, MongoDB, MySQL, and GA4
• Build ETL/ELT workflows and support near real-time analytics use cases
• Architect multi-tenant data solutions and engagement scoring models
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams on AI and analytics initiatives
• Define governance, security, retention, and PII handling standards
• Mentor junior engineers and establish reusable data engineering practices
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics engineering
• Strong experience with BigQuery, MongoDB, MySQL, GA4, and cloud data platforms
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Dataflow
• Strong understanding of OLTP, OLAP, warehousing, and SaaS data models
• Familiarity with AI/LLM-generated data, behavioral analytics, and multi-tenant environments
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in fast-moving environments
