Lead Data Engineer – 6 Month Contract – Hybrid, Madison Wisconsin – W2 ONLY, NO C2C OR OPT EAD

Seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to mentor our healthcare and medical information client to develop a streaming data platform for a healthcare CRM product. Work with various programming languages and data stores, optimize code, and ensure scalable, performant data pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor engineering teams in the SDLC.
  • Develop and maintain software for a healthcare CRM streaming data platform.
  • Use Python, Scala, NodeJS, and SQL for software projects.
  • Work with relational, NoSQL databases, and Kafka.
  • Analyze data sets using SQL.
  • Optimize existing code for efficiency.
  • Ensure scalable, performant data pipelines.
  • Design and implement creative solutions collaboratively.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a lead or management role.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering concepts and the SDLC.
  • 9+ years of SQL and Python experience.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
  • Proficient in TDD and automated testing.
  • Understanding of enterprise scalability.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization.
  • Experience mentoring colleagues on best practices.
  • Ability to lead technical design sessions.
