Marketing Operations Analyst – Marketing Technology & Data Strategy

As a Marketing Operations Analyst on the Marketing Operations & Technology team, you will drive marketing data strategy and ensure clean, consistent, and compliant use of customer data. This includes supporting audience targeting for strategic campaigns, maintaining data governance across platforms, and ensuring adherence to privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.

This role is hands-on and highly technical—ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, works independently with large data sets, and enjoys bringing clarity to complex challenges. You’ll write advanced SQL queries to access and manipulate data within modern cloud data warehouses and help activate marketing audiences through a customer data platform (CDP).

The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to improve and apply knowledge of the modern data stack to solve real-world marketing problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Audience Targeting: Design and implement segmentation strategies using complex SQL to support high-impact marketing campaigns.

  • Data Governance: Build a deep understanding of data flow and quality issues; propose and implement solutions that improve usability and integrity.

  • Compliance: Ensure marketing data handling complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy regulations.

  • Data Integration: Collaborate with engineering and IT to ingest and normalize data from various sources into the CDP.

  • Analytics & Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis and deliver actionable insights via dashboards and reports to key marketing stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with marketing, analytics, and technical teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and communicate outcomes clearly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, data management, or a similar field—ideally within a marketing or business operations setting

  • Advanced SQL proficiency; comfortable working with Python

  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)

  • Strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights

  • High attention to detail with a focus on maintaining data accuracy and integrity

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
