- Our natural gas client is looking for a Technical Support Manager for an onsite opportunity in Dallas.
- Manage the change control process, ensuring all programs are properly documented, tested, and approved before implementation.
- Oversee project activities to ensure compliance with system standards, quality protocols, and timelines, achieving the intended project outcomes.
- Provide consulting support to management and departmental staff, defining project requirements, and preparing proposal documents that include cost analysis, scope, benefits, and resource allocation.
- Supervise the design, development, implementation, training, and maintenance of the TBS system, including disaster recovery planning and testing for TBS applications.
- Prepare project work plans, assign internal or contract staff, and review project design to confirm user requirements are met.
- Participate in application user forums to guide software functionality and maintain vendor relationships.
- Ensure system and application operations meet database integrity, dependability, and client reliability expectations.
- Manage development, testing, monitoring, and maintenance of all interfaces to ensure accurate, timely data transfers and minimize prior-period corrections.
- Design, implement, and manage controls and policies for transactional systems, providing documentation and recommending changes as necessary.
- Evaluate and recommend software upgrades or modifications to optimize productivity and manage departmental budgets for efficient resource use.
- Maintain staffing levels to support department functions, including selecting, training, and evaluating team members.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations in department policies and processes.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field, with five years of IT experience in the natural gas industry, or a high school diploma/GED with seven years of relevant IT experience in the natural gas industry.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and influence effectively with senior management and external customers on technical or complex matters.
- Numeric Skills: Competence in performing ratio, percentage, and basic statistical analyses.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with software applications for document creation, reporting, and graphics.
