Senior Software Engineer

Engagement: Contract-to-Hire | Remote

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a talented fully remote engineering team. This role sits at the intersection of a mature cloud-based and WordPress-driven platform and a forward-looking AI engineering roadmap focused on innovative solutions within the higher education space.

REQUIRED — CORE ENGINEERING

• Strong backend API development experience (Python and PHP preferred)

• Frontend development experience with React or similar frameworks

• Cloud infrastructure familiarity

• Relational and/or NoSQL database design experience

• RESTful API design and integration

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows

• Active participation in code reviews and pull request reviews

• Comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants as part of daily development workflows

• Agile / Scrum team experience

PREFERRED

Familiarity with the following technologies:

• WordPress

• Frontend: TypeScript, JavaScript, React

• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, CDK, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Bedrock

• Backend: FastAPI, PHP, Python, MongoDB

• AI & Agent Frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, Langfuse, VoyageAI
