Sr Software Engineer

Title: Lead MLOps Engineer

Summary:
We are seeking a Lead MLOps Engineer to drive the development of cloud infrastructure for machine learning at scale. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll design and implement APIs, event-driven services, and automated deployment pipelines. As the technical lead, you’ll collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to build and optimize machine learning workflows. This is a contract opportunity with a remote/hybrid work option.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on MLOps

• Strong expertise in AWS services (IAM, ECS/EKS, EMR, S3, Lambda/Serverless)

• Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and SQL

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Background in CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring for cloud infrastructure

What You’ll Do:

• Build and optimize cloud infrastructure for machine learning at scale

• Design and implement APIs and event-driven services

• Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines and monitoring solutions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable efficient machine learning workflows

• Evaluate and integrate new cloud services, software tools, and distributed systems

• Ensure compliance and best practices in cloud infrastructure and MLOps

Who You Are:

• A proven software engineer with deep experience in MLOps and cloud infrastructure

• Passionate about agile development, data-driven decision-making, and responsible experimentation

• Experienced in building and maintaining large-scale batch data pipelines

• Familiar with Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake

• Able to lead technical discussions and represent the engineering team
