Sr Software Engineer
Title: Lead MLOps Engineer
Summary:
We are seeking a Lead MLOps Engineer to drive the development of cloud infrastructure for machine learning at scale. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll design and implement APIs, event-driven services, and automated deployment pipelines. As the technical lead, you’ll collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to build and optimize machine learning workflows. This is a contract opportunity with a remote/hybrid work option.
Requirements:

7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on MLOps

Strong expertise in AWS services (IAM, ECS/EKS, EMR, S3, Lambda/Serverless)

Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and SQL

Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Background in CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring for cloud infrastructure
What You’ll Do:

Build and optimize cloud infrastructure for machine learning at scale

Design and implement APIs and event-driven services

Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines and monitoring solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable efficient machine learning workflows

Evaluate and integrate new cloud services, software tools, and distributed systems

Ensure compliance and best practices in cloud infrastructure and MLOps
Who You Are:

A proven software engineer with deep experience in MLOps and cloud infrastructure

Passionate about agile development, data-driven decision-making, and responsible experimentation

Experienced in building and maintaining large-scale batch data pipelines

Familiar with Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake
-
Able to lead technical discussions and represent the engineering team
