Application Engineer
This role focuses on designing, building, and supporting enterprise technology platforms used to create, store, exchange, and manage critical business information.
The position is responsible for developing code, configuring applications, and defining job schedules for high-risk, highly complex systems. Responsibilities include installing software and updates for mission-critical environments, executing and owning code deployments across multiple environments, and conducting design and code reviews. The role may also review and approve test plans, oversee test execution, and validate results to ensure system integrity and performance.
This individual creates advanced, critical-path, and cross-functional technical designs and collaborates closely with partner teams on system integrations. Responsibilities include contributing to database design, ensuring consistency in technical approach across teams, and aligning solutions with broader architectural direction and standards.
The role provides hands-on application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. It involves performing deep technical analysis, identifying solution options, mitigating risk, and contributing to RFP efforts. The position defines technical requirements, scopes project environments, and applies architecture, governance, security, and global process standards to all system changes and deployments.
Additional responsibilities include establishing and enforcing coding and configuration best practices, monitoring system performance, analyzing benchmarks, and creating performance testing scenarios to ensure applications meet business and customer needs. The role reviews performance test results, tuning recommendations, and optimization outcomes.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 8–9 years of directly relevant experience
(Equivalent experience accepted: PhD + 6 yrs, Master’s + 7 yrs, Associate’s + 9 yrs, or High School + 10 yrs)
