Electrical Engineer I
Electrical Engineer – 6 Month Contract – Onsite, Portland Oregon
Summary:
Seeking a skilled engineer to support low voltage power distribution systems for medium and heavy-duty vehicle platforms. This role involves circuit protection, documentation, and collaboration with wiring design teams.
Responsibilities:
- Document and maintain the Power Distribution Module Global Consumer List
- Transition consumer lists into a version-controlled application (e.g., ELM Suite)
- Collaborate with component owners to assess circuit protection requirements
- Work with wiring design teams to align circuit protection with harness strategies
- Develop and update circuit pinout documentation for power distribution modules
- Experience in low voltage power distribution systems
- Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, SAE, VDA, IEEE)
- Experience with ELM Suite tools (DOORS, DOORS Next, Rhapsody)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or 4+ years of relevant experience)
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuit design, fuses, relays, and circuit breakers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
