Senior AV Systems Engineer

Reports to: Director of Engineering & Programming

Primary Role

Provide pre- and post-sales engineering support to sales and technical teams for electronic/AV systems. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful solutions and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to sales and technical staff before and after the sale.

  • Offer advanced technical support for customer service issues.

  • Join sales on customer visits as needed; deliver technical presentations and support.

  • Support sales and estimating with system design and solution scoping.

  • Manage vendor relationships (product updates, issue escalation, advanced troubleshooting).

  • Maintain current knowledge of existing and emerging technologies offered by the organization.

  • Assist with training internal technical and sales staff on new products.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Accountability

Reports to the Director of Engineering & Programming, with secondary accountability to other members of the leadership team, employees, and customers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years as a Senior Engineer designing AV systems; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively.

  • Required: Experience with D-Tools SI.

  • Preferred: Strong understanding of Crestron and Q-SYS systems.

Travel

Out-of-town travel is not required; occasional travel opportunities may arise but are infrequent.

  • Experience with D-Tools and AutoCAD.

  • Demonstrated planning, organizing, and implementation skills to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
