The Senior AV Systems Engineer is responsible for providing pre- and post-sales engineering support to sales and technical staff for all designed electronic systems. The role requires effective communication with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to sales and technical staff on a pre- and post-sales basis.
  • Offer high-level technical support for customer-related service issues.
  • Assist sales staff with joint customer site visits, including delivering technical presentations.
  • Support sales and estimating staff in system design.
  • Manage vendor relationships, addressing product updates, issues, and high-level troubleshooting.
  • Stay informed about current and new technologies offered.
  • Assist in training internal technical and sales staff on new products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Accountability:
The Senior AV Systems Engineer reports directly to the Director of Engineering & Programming and is also accountable to other management team members, employees, and customers.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Senior Engineer designing AV systems; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work collaboratively with others.

Travel:
Some out-of-town travel is required. While primary work is based in Wisconsin, nationwide travel may be necessary depending on client needs.

  • Superior customer service skills for engaging with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with D-Tools and AutoCAD.
  • Strong planning, organization, and implementation skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting general business documentation.
  • Valid and current driver’s license.

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers.
  • Light lifting of objects may be required.
  • Activities include reaching, grasping, and carrying.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Most work is performed indoors, with occasional outdoor activities subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
