Senior HR Business Systems Analyst

We’re looking for a Senior HR Business Systems Analyst to support the development, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and ongoing optimization of HR Information Systems. This role will work across HR systems, payroll, benefits, absence management, reporting, and HR data, ensuring systems and outputs are accurate, timely, and secure.

Candidates must be willing to work Pacific Time Zone hours.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Define and document business requirements, business processes, and functional system designs.
  • Support HR systems across payroll, benefits, absence management, reporting, analytics, and general HR processes.
  • Lead UAT, regression testing, system testing, and post-implementation validation.
  • Partner with IT and HR stakeholders on system enhancements, integrations, and implementations.
  • Develop SQL queries, extracts, reports, and dashboards.
  • Analyze system and data issues, troubleshoot problems, and recommend solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage system functionality and reduce manual processes through automation.
  • Develop business cases, test scripts, documentation, training materials, procedures, and reporting solutions.
  • Lead small to medium-sized HR technology projects from requirements through implementation.
  • Educate technical and non-technical stakeholders on system capabilities, processes, and impacts.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8 years of relevant Business Systems Analyst experience, ideally supporting HR technology.
  • Strong experience with HRIS/HR systems and HR data.
  • Experience gathering and documenting detailed business and functional requirements.
  • Strong UAT, regression testing, system testing, and documentation experience.
  • Experience with SQL, queries, extracts, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Ability to facilitate system configuration decisions and evaluate downstream system/data impacts.
  • Experience implementing system enhancements and process improvements across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong project management, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
