6-18 months contract Lead Business Systems Consultant: Digital Transformation and Innovation – Charlotte, NC – 3 days in office

Seeking an experienced IT professional to support risk and compliance initiatives within a financial services environment. This role will act as a liaison between business and technology teams, driving delivery across multiple systems and initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support technology initiatives and resolve business/technical issues
  • Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and development teams to prioritize backlogs and deliver solutions
  • Guide agile teams to improve efficiency and use of metrics
  • Perform data integration and build BI reports (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
  • Drive automation of data acquisition/analysis and SharePoint content development
  • Coordinate communication, project schedules, and stakeholder engagement
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to less experienced staff
Qualifications
  • 12+ years IT experience, including financial services and risk & compliance
  • Strong hands-on background with Python, cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, OCP, TAS), containers, GitHub, and Artifactory
  • 5+ years in data analytics/business intelligence and ServiceNow
  • Deep experience with Jira/Kanban and automation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Experience leading distributed/managed services teams
Preferred
  • Scripting and automation expertise
  • Dashboard and reporting experience (Power BI, Tableau)
Ability to work across all levels of the organization
