Manufacturing Engineer I
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer I will support manufacturing operations by maintaining technical documentation, improving manufacturing processes, and assisting with engineering projects across a variety of production applications. This individual will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to improve product quality, process efficiency, safety, and manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with maintaining and improving controlled technical documents, including engineering prints, procedures, bills of materials, and manufacturing routers.

Support a variety of manufacturing and processing applications, including machining, finishing, forging, casting, cleaning, heat treating, bonding, and molding.

Conduct feasibility studies, with guidance from more experienced engineers, to estimate product costs and evaluate capital equipment, production capacity, and manufacturing capability requirements.

Assist with developing and improving manufacturing methods that meet quality, performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Review manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, product quality, workflow, and overall production performance.

Execute assigned responsibilities according to established project plans, schedules, and engineering priorities.

Support engineering investigations and structured problem-solving activities related to manufacturing or product issues.

Communicate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, and other internal departments.

Prepare, update, and maintain accurate technical and project documentation.

Support multiple engineering assignments of moderate complexity while meeting established deadlines.

Participate in cross-functional projects and provide technical support to manufacturing personnel as needed.

Perform additional duties and engineering assignments as required.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline with one to three years of relevant experience; or

Associate degree in a technical discipline with at least two years of relevant experience; or
-
High school diploma or equivalent with at least four years of relevant manufacturing or engineering experience.

Experience reviewing or maintaining engineering prints, procedures, bills of materials, routers, and other controlled technical documentation.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production environments.

Working knowledge of engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Ability to balance product quality, compliance, safety, cost, and manufacturing requirements.

Experience using quality, statistical, or structured problem-solving methods.

Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively within a cross-functional team.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project-tracking software is preferred.
