Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly Operations
We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to provide hands-on engineering support for engine and axle assembly operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role combines daily production support with project-based process improvement work and is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, improving assembly processes, and working closely with production teams to drive operational excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide maintenance and manufacturing engineering support for assembly operations
- Troubleshoot tooling, equipment, and production issues to minimize downtime
- Develop and implement assembly process improvements and tooling modifications
- Create preventative maintenance procedures and recommended spare parts lists
- Support equipment procurement, installation, and certification activities
- Partner with production supervisors and assemblers to improve efficiency and quality
- Lead and support manufacturing projects, product changes, and process improvements
- Participate in weekend production support rotation as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an assembly environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting production equipment, tooling, and assembly processes
- Understanding of manufacturing methods, materials, and production operations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with production teams
- Experience with AutoCAD LT, torque tooling, pressing operations (Kistler/Promess), or project leadership is a plus

- Approximately 70% daily production support and 30% project-based engineering work
