Application Platform Admin

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Maintain and support Apache Tomcat environments.
• Provide MQ/messaging platform support, including troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
• Install, configure, architect, and support application platform infrastructure technologies, including web servers, application servers, messaging engines, and directory services.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, patching, and routine platform maintenance.
• Troubleshoot application infrastructure and middleware issues and drive problems through resolution.
• Perform performance tuning to improve platform stability and efficiency.
• Configure and support Apache HTTPD and Tomcat servers.
• Utilize Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and support SSL within application environments.
• Create and maintain accurate technical and operational documentation.
• Evaluate software products and help establish technology standards, standard configurations, and platform architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and scalable application platforms.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience configuring and supporting Apache HTTPD.
• Experience with MQ or enterprise messaging technologies.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Strong understanding of SSL configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with software installation, upgrades, patches, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting web servers, application servers, messaging engines, and/or directory services.
• Experience designing or implementing standard platform configurations and architectures.
• Strong engineering/infrastructure background with excellent troubleshooting skills.
