Business Systems Analyst – Healthcare / Facets

We’re looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support the maintenance, enhancement, configuration, and delivery of systems supporting health plan operations. This role will serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business needs into functional requirements and supporting systems throughout the full SDLC.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

• Support functional system design, configuration, enhancements, and implementations.

• Create and execute system, regression, unit, and acceptance testing.

• Troubleshoot production issues and support post-implementation quality assurance.

• Review system designs, data flows, database schemas, interfaces, conversion plans, and technical specifications.

• Develop SQL scripts for data updates, movement, validation, and reporting.

• Support Facets configuration, data analysis, and related business processes.

• Partner closely with developers and business stakeholders to identify solutions that meet business requirements.

• Support data conversion, migration, backup planning, and system upgrades.

• Identify opportunities for continuous system and process improvement.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ year of experience in business requirements, process modeling, functional systems design/configuration, or acceptance testing.

• Healthcare/health insurance experience supporting areas such as claims, membership, provider relations, or similar payer operations.

• Experience with Facets strongly preferred.

• Experience with SQL and data analysis.

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience with system configuration, functional requirements, testing, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to understand technical documentation such as data flow diagrams and entity relationship models.

• Strong analytical, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across business and technical teams.
