Senior Project Manager / Analyst – Information Security
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager/Analyst to support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives within a financial services organization. This role partners with Information Security, Technology, and business stakeholders to deliver projects aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. The ideal candidate combines cybersecurity knowledge with strong project management, analytical, and documentation skills to drive initiatives from planning through implementation using Jira and Confluence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity projects across Cloud & AI Security, Identity & Access Management, Threat & Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Data Protection, and Governance, Risk & Compliance.
- Define project scope, gather requirements, identify risks and dependencies, and develop delivery roadmaps.
- Manage project plans, milestones, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
- Maintain Jira and Confluence project artifacts, dashboards, sprint planning, and executive reporting.
- Produce meeting notes, status reports, executive summaries, and project documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, resolve issues, and ensure successful transition into production operations.
- Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence across security programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of project management or business analysis experience within Information Security or Cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Advanced experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
- Experience using AI tools to improve project management, reporting, documentation, or security workflows.
- Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, Security+, or Certified Scrum Master are a plus.
